Where are you from?

North Uist. It’s my favourite place in the Hebrides - and where we get all of our delicious food from!

What made you start The Hebridean Food Company?

It’s been my life-long dream to have my own business supplying the best of Hebridean fare to the rest of the UK.
I finally got the chance to start the business in February 2014, age 23.

What’s the best part of your job?

I get real satisfaction from customers coming back and buying our products again and again.
For me that’s the true test that I’ve done my job right.

What’s your favourite seafood dish?

When in season, Cockles are my favourite, a somewhat undervalued sweet shellfish.

What should visitors to the Hebrides expect?

The Hebrides is one place you always have to expect the unexpected; from the changeable weather and the huge
array of wildlife,to some of the most welcoming people! This is what makes The Hebrides so special.
